We found out that the information supplied to Bing.co.uk is from http://www.marketlocation.com/ this mean it’s the same issue as with Yahoo’s local business Center, you will enter your details and then get flooded with sales calls trying to sell you listings on Bing UK Now we don’t think it’s worth it yet, however we do take all the  hassle out of registering if you contact us then we can manage your Bing UK local business listing. It is not currently possible to submit UK listings straight to Bing.co.uk but after we spoke to Bing UK we believe this is coming shortly, and that Bing will take this management in house,rather than leave the local search results to a third party like Yahoo! does with their local listings. Our experience with using Yahoo! Local Business listings is that the service and the aggressiveness of their sales is not worth the money spent on marketing there, as our customers would know we use phone numbers to track results, and Yahoo! local listings claim that the user will not visit your website and hence you won’t see the visits, but we tested it with the phone numbers and having unique numbers only on Yahoo and the result was abysmal, it was less than 0.5% of what Google Local Listings provided, however we strongly believe that Bing UK’s local result will gain more traction than Yahoo! UK Local Results, as they will put more emphasis on providing real results. but only time will tell, we are already getting our teams to work with Bing UK local listings and we continue to measure the performance and successes.
